Cruella

Remember her from 101 Dalmations? 

Of course you do.  

She was the saucy villain in that movie.  

She's pretty much a boss, except for the fact that she likes fur and wants to kill the dalmations.

But I do give her some credit for her daring hair and nice red lips.

Last Friday when I was in Sephora, I picked up the Nars velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella.

The lip pencil is awesome because it has a ton of pigment in it and goes on really smoothly.

Typically if you want a bold red lip, you have to apply liner and then lipstick and blah de dah, but this is basically a one stop shop for all of that.

So for me, it's well worth the money.

Cruella will get you noticed in a good way (unless you have lipstick on your teeth, but that can be fixed if you put your index finger in your mouth and close your lips around it and then pull your finger out, because that gets off the lipstick on the insides of your lips that would have otherwise have been found on your teeth)!

And isn't the name the icing on the cake?  It makes me feel sultry and kind of mysterious.

And whenever you do a bold lip, please don't do a smokey eye with it.  That is just too much going on and your beautiful face will look like a mask.  Then people will see your makeup, and not you.

I'd recommend just doing a coat or two of mascara (curl the lashes too!) and maybe a little bit of blush on top of your base (which would be like concealor, powder, etc...more on that next post)
